Instapay is being built with safety, transparency, and user protection at its core. This page describes our intended approach to financial safety — before any real-money services become available.
Instapay is a technology platform — not a bank, credit union, or licensed money transmitter. Instapay does not currently hold, manage, or transmit customer funds.
Any future banking or payment services offered through the Instapay platform are intended to be provided by and through approved partner financial institutions, subject to partner agreements, bank sponsorship, and applicable regulatory approval. Instapay will act as a technology intermediary connecting users to those partner institutions. Banking and payment services are subject to approval and are not currently available.
Before accessing any real-money features, users may be required to verify their identity through a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This is a standard regulatory requirement in the financial services industry designed to prevent fraud, money laundering, identity theft, and unauthorized account activity.
Users who do not complete identity verification will not have access to payment, transfer, or funding features. Instapay reserves the right to request additional documentation at any time to confirm a user's identity or the source of funds.
If bank account linking is offered, Instapay intends to use a secure, user-permissioned bank-linking provider such as Plaid. This type of integration allows users to connect their bank accounts without sharing their banking credentials directly with Instapay.
Instapay will never ask customers to provide their bank username, password, PIN, or other login credentials by email, text message, phone call, or any other direct channel. If you are ever asked to share your banking credentials in this way, do not comply — it is not a legitimate Instapay request. Bank account linking is subject to Plaid partnership approval and applicable regulatory requirements.
Instapay takes fraud prevention seriously. Once operational, the platform may monitor account activity for signs of fraud, unauthorized access, money laundering, or other suspicious behavior. As part of this effort, Instapay may:
• Apply transaction limits based on account verification status, risk profile, or applicable law • Delay or hold transactions pending additional review • Block or reverse transactions that appear suspicious or violate Instapay's terms of service • Restrict or suspend accounts involved in suspected fraudulent or illegal activity • Report activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required by law
These measures are designed to protect users and the integrity of the platform.
When real-money services become available, users should only send money to people they know and trust. Person-to-person payment platforms are frequently targeted by scammers who impersonate friends, family members, employers, government agencies, or businesses to trick users into sending money.
Instapay will never ask you to transfer funds as a condition of receiving a prize, job offer, or refund. Be cautious of any request to send money to someone you have not met in person or cannot independently verify. Once a payment is sent, it may not be reversible. If something feels wrong, do not proceed — contact support first.
Instapay is committed to being accessible and responsive to users. Once the platform is operational, users will be able to contact support for:
• General account questions • Reports of unauthorized account activity or suspected fraud • Complaints or disputes related to transactions • Requests to access, correct, or delete personal data • Any other concerns related to their Instapay account
Contact information and support channels will be published before launch. If you have questions about Instapay's development or this website, you may reach us through the contact information provided on this site.
