You may request deletion of your personal information held by Instapay by contacting us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Please submit your request from the email address associated with your Instapay account, if applicable. This helps us locate your records and verify your identity efficiently. You may also submit a deletion request through the Instapay platform's account settings once that feature is available. At this time, email is the primary method for submitting deletion requests.
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion of account data, Instapay will verify your identity before processing a deletion request. You may be asked to provide: • The full name and email address associated with your Instapay account • A government-issued ID or other identifying information, where required by applicable law or where identity cannot be confirmed by other means • Answers to account security questions or confirmation of recent account activity, where applicable Instapay will not process a deletion request that cannot be verified. If we are unable to verify your identity, we will notify you and explain what additional information is needed.
Even after a deletion request is processed, Instapay may be required or permitted to retain certain information for the following reasons: Legal obligations: Applicable law may require us to retain certain records for a specified period, including records related to financial transactions, identity verification, and regulatory compliance. Fraud prevention and security: Information necessary to detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, unauthorized activity, or security incidents may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary. Tax and accounting: Records required for tax reporting, financial auditing, or accounting purposes may be retained in accordance with applicable law and standard accounting practices. Compliance obligations: Records required by our financial partners, sponsor banks, or regulatory authorities — including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) records — may be retained for the periods required by those obligations. Dispute resolution: Information relevant to an open dispute, investigation, or legal proceeding may be retained until the matter is resolved. Where information is retained for these purposes, it will be used only as necessary to fulfill those obligations and will not be used for marketing or other unrelated purposes.
Once we receive your deletion request, Instapay intends to follow this general process: 1. Acknowledge receipt of your request within a reasonable timeframe and provide a reference number 2. Verify your identity using the information you provided 3. Review your account and associated records to determine what data is eligible for deletion and what must be retained 4. Process the deletion of eligible data and notify you of the outcome 5. Inform you of any data that has been retained and the reason for retention, where required by applicable law Instapay aims to respond to verified deletion requests within 30 to 45 days. In some cases, applicable law may allow or require a longer response period, which will be disclosed at the time of your request. Please note that deletion of your personal data may result in the closure of your Instapay account and loss of access to platform features.
